One of the biggest problems for our new Prime Minister Sir Keith Starmer is that he wants to build a relationship with Washington but doesn’t yet know with whom he will be dealing. For the first time in over 30 years, the U.K. general election took place months before the presidential election across the Atlantic.

There is no doubt that the left-leaning Labour Party would welcome a Democratic win, with the two parties more aligned philosophically, but as that looks increasingly unlikely, how will the relationship pan out after a Trump victory?

David Lammy

The likely new foreign secretary is a chap called David Lammy, who has previously called Trump a “woman-hating, neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath” and a “profound threat to the international order”. But recently, he has been steadily nurturing ties with the MAGA-sphere, and is now saying that Trump “is often misunderstood.”

Basically, I can see this new government bowing down to all the outrageous antics that Trump will produce. Trump is unpredictable, and presents a stark contrast to Starmer’s meticulous, almost bureaucratic approach to policymaking. To avoid the impending clash of ideologies, I see a “peace in our time” attitude from Labour, who will make every effort to keep the Donald happy, including raising contributions to NATO. What Labour is very bad at, though, is letting us know how they are going to pay for all this.

Britain’s fledgling new government will do everything they can to retain the deep alignment with the U.S. we have seen in the past, and while this will come under huge strain once Trump is elected, I see Britain going soft on him, which will have profound implications.

If Trump wins, then what?

Then, the war in Ukraine stops.

It is not my wishful thinking. It is my analysis of what could happen if Donald Trump wins the election in November.

Even before Biden’s disastrous debate, he was winning. Now, I believe Trump is going to be the winner, the odds are 9:1.

During his first presidency, the Ukraine-Russia relationship was all-time quiet. The period of 2017 – 2021 saw the least number of casualties on the front line in Donbas – I mean, before February 24, 2022. He was the one who sent Javelins – anti-tank weapons — to Ukraine to deliver Russia a message: don’t interfere. This was what Obama was too afraid to do.

Trump in red ball cap

Trump was the one who struck the Wagner group in Syria in 2018 – and Vladimir Putin kept a low profile then, not saying a word.

Trump, as I can judge by the leaks from his team, is going to stimulate NATO to be more proactive in facing Vladimir Putin’s menace. NATO countries will pay more to their joint defence budget as they should and as Trump had already demanded. I hope Trump will finally break this Euro bureaucracy and ‘Putin fershteiners’ down.

I guess he would also send China’s Xi a strong message: do not even think of invading Taiwan, or you will end up like Putin.

I think Donald Trump will make the world a safer, more stable, and more predictable place—something that the Biden administration failed to do. Their mistakes and cowardice led to Afghanistan’s debacle, Ukraine’s war, and Russia slipping further into the Dark Ages.

These things are mutually exclusive…

Well shit. See, Roger and me have this running thing where he always thought Trump would take it and I always said nope, ain’t gonna’ happen. I mean seriously, Americans cannot possibly be that stupid. Who in hell would vote to destroy their own country?

Americans think Trump is singular; he certainly is not. Italy, France, Hungary, Slovakia, and even Poland are flirting with fascist dreams. In all fairness, it seems the fever has broken in Poland. Their hatred for Putin has driven them away from that vision of the future. The same cannot be said for places like Hungary and America. Our Congress Woman, Marjory Taylor Greene, has made it clear “not one more penny for Ukraine” if the MAGAs can win the White House.

This will sound strange to the point of bizarre. I completely understand where the MAGAs are coming from. In the US, billionaires do NOT pay taxes. Example: Elon Musk was on his X thingy last week whining because he had a couple million in taxes. I’m sorry, F! U! Think Trump and his billionaire buddy’s pay taxes? Hell no, as a percentage they pay far, far less than you. What they have that you don’t is Fox Entertainment. Fox (owned by a billionaire) continues to this day to pretend that the Government is the problem, not wealth disparity.

The Donald

The topic of the week is what will happen if Trump wins. More tax cuts for billionaires, that’s what. To be sure, he will hold up some shiny things for the Fox crowd. Them little brown bastards will be put in cages where they belong. The Supreme Kangaroo Court wants you to know it will be just fine if we shoot a few darkies in the legs, as long as it’s official and all. Maybe we can own a few Libs by sticking them in jail. That Biden son of a bitch needs to be the first to go.

Yes, yes, I’m a little Snowflake cry baby. Perhaps you would like to read about Project 2025? Here, have some fascist flavored Cool-aide. Embrace the future: Jesus loves Christian Nationalists!

I close by stating the obvious: you cannot say you believe in Jesus and say you’re a nationalist; these things are mutually exclusive. You cannot say you support Captain Bone Spurs and say you support the US Military; these things are mutually exclusive (“losers & suckers”). You cannot say you support democracy and say that the Jan. 6th protesters are hostages; these things are mutually exclusive.
