Can I depend on the US Military?

If what you are talking about is the classic enemy at the gate, of course. Take those beady-eyed Canadians for example; you have to watch those slippery little syrup suckers and I think the US Army is up to the task. If they come to steal our Molson, we will kick their little rosy red booties.
On the other hand, it’s clear the military has no interest in its prior promise to protect the constitution. Each one of them took an oath to protect and defend the document, which now has the same value as a written contract with Trump: none. Think I exaggerate?
Habeas Corpus is an absolute right, protected by the constitution. This clause isn’t in some vague Latin phrasing that you can fudge, it’s explicitly spelled out. How about Birth Right Citizenship? The Fourteenth Amendment says: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” Orange Jesus says that don’t count any damn more and the army doesn’t care. They have brought dishonor to the uniform.

Far from defending the United States, the US Military is a serious threat to the American people. Eight hundred US Marines were assigned to assist ICE in screwing the people of Los Angeles. Stephen Miller said to get three thousand little greasy brown bastards off the streets every day. No trial and we don’t care where they were born. Apparently, the US Marines is fine with that.
Duty. Honor. Fidelity. Screw all that shit, we follow MEGA and we enforce racists policy. Today, right now, on the streets of Washington, DC, the US National Guard is driving around in armored vehicles looking for people to screw over. Technically, they are not actually arresting brown people they meet on the streets, they are only holding them until the masked Gestapo arrives. You know, ICE, the world’s largest and best funded police force. According to Newsweek: “The Trump administration has dramatically increased arrests of people who have never been convicted of a crime in the US, accounting for a little more than 60 percent of ICE arrests during his first six months in office, roughly equating to 188 days…”
The American military is the biggest threat to the continued existence of a democratic United States. Yes, we can depend on them; to act without honor. The very people I thought would protect and defend are the ones assisting Trump in his silent coup.
Can I depend on the Russian military?

Well, I thought so, before February 24th, 2022. The Russian army seemed to be like a flexible giant, pumped up by incredible money and the overall hype.
When the “Special Military Operation” began, I was so sorry for Ukraine. I thought they would have been defeated in a matter of days. This is what Putin expected and what the propaganda had been saying for years.
Well, reality bites.
I am absolutely sure that had Putin known what his SMO would turn to, he would have never started it. I think he fell victim of his own propaganda.

Now, I think, the Russian military are the laughing stock of the world. China sits quietly, and laughing quietly.
In Europe and the United States, there are voices, like retired US General Ben Hodges, who openly says that the Russian military is the army to beat. Just give Ukraine enough weapons and kick them out!
The only thing that stops the West from doing it, is Russia’s enormous nuclear arsenal. Putin is the master to play on European fears. He basically says, if we are going to lose, I will push the button.
The Soviet Union never threatened its much larger nuke potential. They were serious people.
Putin is playing a typical thug role, when the first thing to beat opponents is to scare them. Quick!
Europeans are mostly cowards, so they buy it. Trump is a thug himself, to a point. I am really surprised that he, probably, also bought it. But maybe not. He didn’t say his last word yet.
So, if China invades, I don’t believe the Russian army could defend the country. As far as I know, its only hope is to strikes nukes at the earliest stage of the conflict.
Well, China also has nukes…
Can the U.K. depend on its military?

We have this song, originating from a 1740 poem, in which we say Britain “rules the waves”. Indeed, we did. For centuries, Britain’s armed forces carried a reputation for strength, discipline, and global reach and has long been a symbol of national pride. Sadly, not any more.
On the plus side, the U.K. still boasts one of the most advanced militaries in the world. Its nuclear deterrent, (four Vanguard-class submarines armed with Trident missiles), ensures that no adversary can threaten Britain without risking catastrophic retaliation. At last, we have two new aircraft carriers, HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales, placing us among the very few nations capable of projecting air power across the seas. We also remain leaders in cyber defense and intelligence, with agencies like GCHQ working alongside the military to counter threats in the digital age.

But my goodness, there are cracks. Our army has shrunk to little more than 73,000 soldiers, the smallest it has been since the Napoleonic Wars! Whilst we have world-class technologies in some areas, most parts of our forces are overstretched and underfunded. We will not be able to sustain prolonged operations without relying heavily on allies, particularly the United States, and NATO. I don’t believe Britain could repel a large-scale threat from a major power without coalition support. And of course, at this time, Britain, indeed anywhere or anyone, cannot rely on the U.S.A. for anything.
It’s clear that the U.K. is facing a security crisis, with the threat of hostility from Russia, China, Iran and North Korea increasing. We in the west can no longer assume military superiority. Yet we must prepare for high-intensity, protracted war, not counter-insurgency operations like Iraq or Afghanistan. In 21st-century war, troop mass matters. Fleets of drones and the most sophisticated digital targeting will be irrelevant without human forces willing to fight and to operate them.
Another words, the U.K. will be unable to fight and win a war of any kind in the coming decade, and probably for far longer.
