Blue Wave in US featured image

This is the second time I have written this Blog. I’m quite sure I could easily write twenty pages and not run out of things to say. While not as dramatic as the fall of the Soviet Union, the loss of the old United States will cost lives in many countries. In fact, it already has.

I think many around the world don’t understand that the average American doesn’t support the US’s role as the world’s policeman, the never-ending wars and blood in places most of us had no interest in. Whiskey Pete, Secretary of WAR, could be impeached as early as next week (lead by Republicans). Of course, the UN will not step in to fill the vacuum. The Security Council is stupid, outdated and needs to be disbanded.

China fascinates me; the biggest beneficiary of the old US policy of free and open trade, hated it. They became the country they are today because of the old-world order and then they worked to destroy it. Chinese merchant ships call the US Navy when they get in trouble. I assume that’s going to end. Congratulations, you’re about to get what you wished for. No, I’ll not cheer for team Somalia but it’s hard for me to feel sorry for the Chinese.

Voters React to mid-term election results in US

I have never believed this was an argument between left and right, rather it’s a debate between up and down. By that I mean class warfare. It’s nothing new, it’s not even an American invention. This truth is becoming apparent to the average person in the US and the one-percent are about become embroiled in an economic war. A few will be killed. They will have to begin paying taxes and will be held to the same laws the rest of us abide by. They seem blind to the danger and believe the celebration will last forever.

The threat to morals is not over yet, Trump, the billionaire felon President, still walks this earth. MAGA will probably end with Trump but the Republican party will stagger on. If the old-school party leadership can’t get control back, I predict the Republicans will become a large, authoritarian hate group, supported by a press that is owned by billionaires. In other words, not that different from today, just smaller and without the pretense of decency. Peter Thiel, the German billionaire who is openly working to end the current US republic and replace it with oligarchy, will not leave America. The people are starting to see the threat these rich white men pose.

Their current pet project, AI, is set to destroy the American economy. Europe will not be far behind; crazy high un-employment and a massive economic crash being the most likely outcome. In a recent interview, Bill Gates predicted that many Americans will need to grow their own food to survive. He’s not the only one saying this and I believe them.

About now you may be asking what this has to do with the blue wave during the elections last week. Everything… absolutely everything. If the American people lose this fight, it’s also over for Europe. Yet the average European seems unaware to the point of ignorance concerning who’s fighting for what. Do you really believe Elon, a child of apartheid, won’t fund AFD and buy some German media companies? Really? You think Thiel will not return home? If democracy dies here, you’re about to need your own blue wave.

Oh, and by the way, Israel is also in deep shit. Another group of people ignorant of what is about to happen. You can no longer play the genocide card once you’ve had one of your own.

Reaction to new blue America

Our Rusuk Blog writer Sergey

First, if I was an American, I would vote for Republicans. This is why I am not happy with Democrats because I think they are too lefty, too BLM, too BDSM, etc. This is why America rejected them in 2024. There’s normality and abnormal things, and Dems are for all things abnormal. Me thinks.

At the same time, I think Trump’s war with Iran has gone wrong. It has all good reasons at the start, because the Islamic Republic must not go nuclear. Period. As a Russian, I’m even more interested in this than Americans. I think Trump is doing Russia’s work on this: not to let ayatollahs have nukes because they are crazy Shia and shahids.

No way guys, really.

Yes, Israel may have nukes because they are a normal country. Iran, or, to be precise, the Islamic Republic, not even supported by the majority of its own people, according to numerous GAMAAN surveys, MUST NOT.

Think of a modern Hitler – here we go. No way, as they have the cult of dead and being shahids. I hope one day, rather soon, the great people of Iran will take down the rotten and ruthless Islamic Republic and get their country into the family of nations.

(the same works perfectly well with my own country)

To make a long story short, the Blue America won’t be effective.

I predict that in two years the Republicans will hold the Oval Office with JD in charge. They will also retake the Senate.

I can’t imagine America making the same mistake again with #me_too and everything of this sort, like that Floyd guy, a certified criminal, that it wasn’t built upon.

Common sense will prevail. In 2028, without Trump for those who hate him but appreciate the GOP. Cheers!

Britain’s reaction to a new blue America

Roger Bara

I was approaching a state of euphoria as I listened to the unfolding drama of the US midterm elections. And, judging by the results of recent opinion polls in Britain, I suspect the majority of my fellow countrymen were experiencing a similar surge of pleasurable optimism.

It seems that Britons are roughly four times as likely to support the Democrats (42%) as the Republicans (10%) if they were living in the USA. Utterly predictably, Reform voters were the only major political group in Britain to favour the Republicans.

Furthermore, Donald Trump’s latest net favourability rating in Britain, at minus 76, is a new low. A staggering 86% of Britons now have a negative opinion of him, with just 10% viewing him favourably. Sadly, his personal unpopularity appears to have rubbed off on his country, with 61% of Britons now holding an unfavourable opinion of the United States itself.

Following the so-called “Blue Tsunami”, a British cabinet minister described the result as “an enormous night for American democracy, and for the Democrats”, while a vice-president of the European Parliament admitted to feeling “cautiously optimistic on Europe’s behalf”.

Our Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, suggested that the world now had an opportunity to unite around an issue affecting us all: the cost of living. That, he explained, would be impossible until the conflict in the Middle East was resolved. I suspect there were one or two other things he would have liked to say, but diplomatic niceties are diplomatic niceties!

Jeremy Bowen, BBC
Jeremy Bowen

However, my elated mood was somewhat cruelly interrupted by the highly respected BBC International Editor Jeremy Bowen. With decades of experience reporting from war zones and coverage of more than 70 countries behind him, he’s hardly someone whose observations I would dismiss lightly.

Speaking on last Wednesday’s BBC Six O’Clock News, Bowen made a rather sobering point. Trump’s electoral humiliation would severely restrict his ability to dictate, manipulate and disrupt domestic affairs. But his powers as President and Commander-in-Chief would remain largely intact when it came to foreign policy and the use of American military might.

In other words, a frustrated and increasingly constrained Trump at home might become an even more unpredictable and dangerous Trump abroad. Ukraine, Iran, perhaps even Cuba or Taiwan. The possibilities are distinctly uncomfortable.

So, while I was initially tempted to open a bottle of something rather celebratory, I’m beginning to think that perhaps I should leave it on ice.

A blue America might be better news for democracy, but it doesn’t necessarily mean a safer world.
