Russia: who’s in and who’s out

One of the biggest troubles of Russian so-called ‘patriots’, i.e. Russian nationalists, is that the native people’s numbers are going down. I mean, ethnic Russians, a branch of Slavs. You know, those blue eyes, blonde hair individuals, blah-blah from my childhood fairy tales. A nation that (maybe) existed a thousand years ago in this outlook, before Tatar-Mongol hordes came in, anyway.
So this kind of Russian people are out.
Demographically, year by year, the population of Russians is slowly decreasing proportionately to other ethnic groups. On the other hand, we’re experiencing an influx of immigrants from the Caucasus and Middle Asia: Azeri, Armenians, Tajiks, Uzbeks, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, etc.
Most of these people are, in many ways, like Latin American immigrants in the USA: they take low-paid jobs, like taking out garbage or doing home repairs or construction work. Yes, not all, but this primarily applies to Middle Asians.
Russians don’t want to take these jobs, and we’re experiencing a workforce deficit in these fields.
Plus, the demographic pressure is rising: the Muslim population of Middle Asia has almost doubled in some countries of the region since 1989.

So, the Muslims are in.
I can judge it by my daughter’s classes; they have a considerable number of Middle Asian kids in their respective classes. Back in the 1980s, when I was their age (seven and ten years old), we had no one from Middle Asia in my classes.
The picture is very different now. Some people see this as a threat. They are right in some aspects, as the crime rate is higher. There are cases of Asians attacking Russian girls because they were wearing ‘inappropriate’ clothes, like mini-skirts. I think the situation is not so dramatic, and it is simply up to the police to handle it.
Generally, Russia is a melting pot, almost like the United States. This is why the second generation of immigrants from Middle Asia, all these guys with strange names like Akhmed, Islam, or Muhammad, will become ‘new Russian’, culturally.
This has been happening on our planet since the dawn of civilization: the demographic palette is changing, and that’s OK. It is up to Russia to maintain its cultural code, embrace all the newcomers, and make them Russians.
After all, I don’t have blond hair and blue eyes, too.
The U.K. – comings and goings

Figures published only last year show migration added over 600,000 people to the U.K.’s population in 2022 — the highest number on record. And all this coming three years after the U.K. left the EU, with the inept government citing “more control over arrivals” through a points-based system, in place of the E.U.’s free movement of people.
These record levels of international immigration to the U.K. have been assisted by the end of COVID-19 lockdowns and British help for people fleeing the likes of Ukraine and Hong Kong. In addition, around one person in every twelve non-EU migrants are illegal entrants into the country, arriving by boats, or in the back of lorries. All very unsavoury, and a trend that will not cease any time soon.

My country of birth is, at this time, conflicted as to whether we should continue to welcome Johnny Foreigner, or erect extensive barriers to prevent mass immigration.
As for those leaving the U.K. voluntarily, most go for sunshine, because the U.K has, to put it simply, a pretty shit climate. The main destinations are Australia, the U.S.A, Spain, New Zealand and South Africa. There are well over five million Brits living in sunnier climes, so you may think that kind of balances things out.
But while Britain is ranked 80th in the world by size, we are home to the 5th highest number of immigrants. And therein lies the problem.
America: Comings & Goings

Perhaps I should start with a very short Civics lesson: as a rule of thumb, the US Federal Government takes care of anything multi-state. So, a river will flow through several states; the Federal Government sets clean water standards. An elementary school is located in a particular place; the State government will control textbooks for that school.
Now, armed with this knowledge you know that foreign policy, (war, peace, and even immigration) will be located in the bailiwick of the US Government. Easy, right? Not if you’re a MAGA.
“War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.”
George Orwell, 1984
If you’re a MAGA then paying a Porn Star $130,000 in hush money is not election interference (Ignorance is strength). The State of Texas has every right to pursue its own foreign policy (war is peace). Now, should some commie, libtard, bastard win the Governor’s seat in Texas, then States Rights are transformed into bullshit (freedom is slavery) and needs crushed!!!
Now for the fun part: this is all gaslighting anyway; welcome to the hall of mirrors. The biggest source of illegal immigration doesn’t happen on the Southern border; it happens when people arrive by jet. They get into a city and decide “I like it here” and don’t go home. The biggest source of illegal immigration in the US comes from visitors overstaying their visa and melting into the woodwork.

But how can this be? We know them little brown bastards swimming across the border to claim their new laptops is the source of all crime. The Fox Fear Network never mentions that the immigrant community commits crime at a lower rate than native born Americans.
In general, legal immigration brings far more benefits than cost. A country needs a population graph that looks vaguely like a skinny pyramid. You want more young folks than elderly. That makes for lower taxes, higher productivity, and a stronger economy.
Many nations now have an inverted pyramid. The elderly receive benefits but contribute little. Most nations in the global north are not having enough children to replenish their own populations. These countries are, or will be facing an economic crisis at some point. Japan is one example of a nation that sells more adult diapers than children’s diapers. Their economy underperforms and prospects are less than stellar. These nations will turn to robots in the nearest future.
